but this is Love in general:
2 - underlining philosophies and
world views with its own set of principles;
reflecting the basic, the complex,
the simplest and the essential;
3 - where life's constitutional powers exist;
composite parts of which anything
and everything must consist;
4 - upon which we base beliefs
ancient and monumental; wherein rests
its symbolic and literal concepts;
5 - Love is life's gun; analogous to the one
real nature of all things compared;
6 - it enlists the skin of each body
to succumb as a record to its living,
we are its historians that trace its passing,
archived on the pages of each other;
7 - made from earth, air, fire and water,
and the ethereal, the quintessential,
more than earthly qualities, yet of them like no other;
8 - a union of the temporal and spiritual;
a joining of the temporary and the eternal;
of the lowly bed and its most holy temple;
9 - Love is a line we use, Love is a circle;
as penetrative as aether and as non-material;
10 - simultaneously invisible and with density;
a medium of origin that fills the universe;
as changeable and corruptible as the course
of terrestrial elements; yet indivisible in everything;
11 - light and tenuous, it generates and overcomes;
of tendons and the physical, it's nature's law
of the survival of the fittest;
12 - it's also the father of intelligent design;
of king and pauper; of the larger and the smaller;
kin to the most beautiful and the ugliest;
13 - Love is the best form of salvation and sin,
the reason for tolerance and acceptance;
14 - it speaks to religion and to science;
of creation and procreation; of evolution,
formation, regeneration and devolution;
fixed in meanings of certainty and serendipity,
15 - in the divinity of cosmology and the what will be,
or easily excused in the shallowness of cosmetology;
we lose ourselves in the vacuum of its absence,
16 - and in the pursuance of immortality,
it's a path to enlightenment, and absurdity;
it's an all-round drug opiating everything in its study;
feeding, carrying, absorbing and breaking,
18 - Love can be smothering, a smouldering
of jealously; it can be a mountain, a stone unmoving,
or a fertile field, always for sowing;
Love needs watering; Love breeds burning,
19 - Love is simply breathing, to grow in all
the elements of living; a glowing synergy
that passes on its energy above and below;
20 - Love is the Word; as its paper and pen;
holding all in its hidden library; in the first and finally;
Love is this poem and the very literature of me.
